iPhone doesn't recognize sim card anymore after the update
The update completely borked my phone. I bought it in Beijing, China. Made sure it was unlocked (from an official apple store) and they told me it was. Worked fine with my Swedish sim card, went back to China after a few months and it worked fine with my Chinese sim card. Got a popup today from itunes telling me that there's an upgrade so I upgraded it. Now it tells me it doesn't support my sim card, I've tried recovering it with DFU/DUF (cant remember the name) but it didn't help. This really blows, if I've lost all of my phone numbers etc now because of this bleep I'm going to be furious.
Sigh. I guess that means I'm royally screwed. The resellers guaranteed me that all I ever needed to do if something was wrong with the phone was to show the IMEI number (the phones ID?)?.
Coming from Sweden I asked them several times for a receit but they promised and guaranteed me that there was no need for a receit.

Do you mean this? But if my phone is locked due to it being updated when it was jailbroken, and I actually have no proof of me not doing it.. what can they do? I mean there isn't any actual proof that shows me buying the phone in China?
I
REALLY appreciate you taking your time to help me with this.
Got to an Appple store, tell them the truth. Be polite, but persistent. They can tell by the SN where the phone was purchased. If it was from an authorized reseller you should be able to get this sorted out. Is it gonna be easy? Probably not.
So, if the phone was bought at an authorized reseller and they look at my serial number, they will be able to see that the phone was Made in USA, Imported to China and sold at that specific reseller store? In that case it's a lot easier to prove my point.
Like I said, that reseller has violated Apple's terms & conditions. You're the victim here, but only Apple can straighten it out. You're gonna have to invest some time & effort, but if I were in your shoes I'd invest the time & effort.
