MSN Messenger display pic

Hey all, I'm new to Mac's so I'm sorry if this question/problem has already been posted, but I just installed MSN Messenger on my MacBookPro and when I try to add a display picture into the messenger, an alert comes up saying, "please make sure the file is in the correct format". Well all of my pictures that I have tried have all been in JPEG/JPG formats. I even tried re-saving the picture and then importing it into the messenger display pic, and that still didn't work.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I'd be greatly appreciated if you could help me out 🙂

Someone found some very helpful links and put them into the feed. I was able to solve my problem quickly and efficiently.
