Aperture 3 works fine for me

I just wanted to post another sound here on A3. Aperture 3 works absolutely fine for me. It didn't crash one time here. I run it on my iMac 3,06 GHz with 4GB RAM. Imported my 150GB A2 library. Works like a charm. Brushes, presets, lovely. But I don't use F+P, so I turned them off. Aperture 2 was a lot more buggier and slower on my machine. I love Aperture 3!

Yes, it's working for me on my Mac Pro and Mac Mini, both running Snow Leopard. it takes a second to load, but it's full on working, I kid you not. How? I don't know. It just opens when I open it. I can tell you (via Little Snitch) that it's trying to make two different connections, both over port 80. "HelpViewer" connects to prohelp.apple.com (17.149.160.52) upon Help launch and "helpd" connects to a1300.g.akamai.net (212.247.20.75) when a search term is entered. You may want to check your firewall settings and network connection.

You're welcome for that information. I give that free of charge, because I like to help, even when people are being coarse and impatient.

No, it's not crazy, and you're being totally unreasonable. We're here offering you help and you just seem to want to complain.

Well, I'm sorry, but I do detect a slightly defensive tone here 🙂 As far as I'm concerned, I have encountered genuine bugs with the program, which others have also experienced, and are documented on other threads...

Now, I'm really pleased to hear that some people are finding that the program "works as advertised" - great. But, in the absence of direct and effective support, it would be good to know the reasons for these differences.

OK, look, there are many threads out there, some for problems in general and many for specific problems. But you came here on a thread called "Aperture works fine for me", which was started because someone wanted to let the Forum browsers know that there are some people in fact who are not having toruble. See, that might give them hope that it can be fixed. But you come on here seemingly just to shatter that, and are so sure that because you're having a problem, evewryone else must be too. You doubt I can use Help, and then you cop an attitude and demand documentation and details.

Sorry buddy, but if you're just looking for people to bash the software with, then look elsewhere. You're at the end of the line here.

I just wanted to add the following:
I'm a stricly amateur snapper, but have just bought a positively yummy Ricoh GX, so when I saw Aperture 3 had been launched, I read about it on the Apple site, and thought,"Wow - that's the app for me!" So I got the trial version and popped it onto my 2.66/4g 15" MBP, and it runs just great:-) Everything I've tried so far works really quickly and smoothly and that includes the 3 ways to access Aperture Help listed at the bottom of this page :-))) Am I just lucky? What's different about my 10.6.2 to the vs. on the machines owned by folks who don't get help? I don't know! All I can say is, Wow - What an Application!!
