Two-sided printing with Epson Artisan 810

After installing the printer using snow leopard's driver ver 8.17, i am unable to select two-sided printing under layout, the option is grayed out. Everything else works fine, including scanning. Is there any way to enable this duplex option? This printer does support automatic duplexing, and works using windows. I really need this for work so any help is appreciated.

13" MBP, 24" iMac, Mac OS X (10.6)

You can create a new preset, which will allow you not to select 2 sided printing all the time.

On the print dialog where by default Layout is selected, select "2 sided Printing Settings" and tick the checkbox 2-sided printing.

Now click on the presets and select "Save Current Settings as Preset". Type a name such as "Double Sided" and print. Now every time you print the Double Sided will be selected by default and that will allow you to print double sided. If you caange to another preset for a particular print job you cwill then remember to change it to double side present in the next print job.

It is not ideal, but I can live with it.
