hi, if itunes is recognizing your iphone then its not the iphone, bottom line. there is definitly a setting on your PC that your missing. are you using vista? ugh, try doing a full software update for windows and then try checking your auto play settings. im an IT and when i trouble shoot i always make a list and start with the most obvious. 1. itunes recognizes the iphone, right? if not, it may not be the cable but it may be the connecter the cable plugs into on the bottom of the iphone. if you carry it in your pocket or purse or whatever and a dime or papereclip got up in there without your knowledge, it may be fried. 2. if its not being recognized at all (like in itunes) and you can test your cable and connector on the iphone on another computer and it works then you only have a couple options left, usbs on laptops can go bad, the laptop im typing on now has a bad usb, wont recognize anything. 3. if the usb, cable, iphone connector all pass on other machines then your looking at a software issue, ie., setting, update, or something of that sort. i hope this helps you, we have a 1 1/2 year old and a newborn coming in a week or two and know how much trouble it is to stand in line at the applestore for hours for them to tell you something silly that you missed. anyway, goodluck!!!

Hello everyone,
We just released Photo Transfer, an iPhone app that lets you transfer photos from your iPhone to your computer using your computer's web browser over wifi.

The app it's super simple to use and makes transferring photos ver easy without having to use iTunes at all. You can also transfer photos from your Computer to your iPhone or from one iPhone to another.

I hope you can check it out and find it useful:

I have had the same problem with my phone/computer. My home computer would not recognize the phone when it was connected, but itunes saw it and allowed me to sync. In the past, I was able to connect my phone and it would pop up the choiced to view/download the pictures from the phone. It stopped doing that probably around 8/09. At first, I didn't think anything about it. Then I realized that I wasn't uploading the pictures that were taken from the phone.
Just tonight, I connected the phone to my work laptop, and the computer recognized the phone as a camera. BUT, it is not able to locate any of the pictures. Well, it keeps saying that the application is in ues and to try back.
I have removed all the pictures from the phone that were not taken on the phone (MMS, uploaded photo folders) as suggested, and still cannot upload the photos. Are there any other suggestions?? I don't want to have to reset the phone.. I will loose soo many inportant pictures.
