It is a very noisy app. It 'talks' all the time.
I uninstall it and disable, but when installed Kaspersky, Norton, even Windows firewall has always asked me whether to allow or deny.
Actually in addition to the ports explicitly mentioned in there, I'd also try making sure it is allowed on TCP 3689 (since iTunes music sharing is also tied up with BonJour).
I already took care of the Home Sharing port, but given the number of ports that need to be opened up for Bonjour, I believe I'll keep the firewall and pass on Bonjour. Thanks to everyone who responded.
Sorry but that's a load of bull. Bonjour is Zero Conf networking, a standard. Not some Apple only thing. And its not chatty at all. AppleTalk of the 80s and early 90s was. Bonjour is nothing like that.
