HP PSC 2110 Connected to Windows machine wont print wirelessly
Hi, I've received an HP PSC 2110 and i have tried to set it up to print over my wireless connection to my girlfriends dell laptop. I can locate the printer with Apple's add printer preference pane but no driver comes up for the printer. I have installed the printer driver only after previously installing the full driver set from HP which filled my computer with garbage but still didn't work wirelessly. Does anyone know which driver i should use to get my PSC 2110 to print wirelessly?
12" iBook G4,
Mac OS X (10.4.3),
1.5GB Ram; 40GB HDD; BT
You can use the HP Deskjet 900 Series, Gimp-Print driver (already included in OS X), or, you can install hpijs and ESP ghostscript from:
http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/hpijs/ (probably supports more of your printer's features)
The HP-provided drivers are for USB only (unless you buy the expensive ethernet or WiFi-equipped printer models).
I tried out the GIMP way before and that didn't work so i tried out the hpijs way but i got an error upon printing saying something about being unable to connect to SAMBA host. I really don't know what this means.
