I am really glad that I am not the only person going crazy with this problem. I have been trying to burn 277 pictures from my last vacation and nothing I try will get IPhoto to work. Funny thing is that a few months ago it did burn a disk. Usually it fail to verify the disk but the disk still works but no luck this time. I even tried dragging the files to the desktop and copying them from there to a disk and I still get a verification failure. Interesting thing is that in both cases there are similar messages with discrepancies at block 599 at byte 38 at least for IPhoto - for the finder burn there is a different block and byte. With IPhoto I get unknown error -2147352477.

After looking around the message boards I can't seem to find any fix for this problem. I tried the slower burn speed too with the finder. Maybe I should not have done the drag and drop?? Any suggestions how to get my images off the computer. Oh yes- I am using the internal read/write drive that came with the computer and it does burn cds for ITunes.

It seems that IPhoto- even the newer versions have a similar problem. I like IPhoto when it used to work.... Seems that someone needs to fix the bugs.

I've just had the same problem this weekend but with a different error message. I've had my iMac for a couple of years and this was the first time I've tried to burn with iPhoto. I have no problem burning from iTunes.

I rang 2 different Apple support techs and they both reckoned that there was a problem / corruption in my iPhoto software. They suggested to bring my iMac in and have the problem tracked down and fixed. $$$$$$$ :o)

Ok I don't wan't to state the bleeding obvious here, but I'm a total newbie to burning in iPhoto so I went back to first priciples with my problem today and was successful. I'm not sure if the iPhoto Help really described the process well enough for me.

Here's what I did :
1. selected photos
2. click burn
3. waited for box to prompt to put on blank cd
4. let it spin around in there until it stopped
5. then click burn
6. selected slow burn speed ~ x8
7. click ok [or whatever ;)]
8. sat back and waited ~ burn successful !

In the first place I thought that I may have corrupted the iPhoto software by not disconnecting the camera correctly. In the past I did this and had to get a tech to get iPhoto running again.

I, too, am having problems burning a CD in iPhoto w/no problems burning in iTunes. I have tried the simple solutions mentioned w/no success. My disk is ejected as soon as the program goes to the 'preparing data...' phase. I did uncheck 'eject disk on completion' just in case but that didn't work either. I also have Virtual PC on my iBook but am hoping there is no relation between the two issues. Hope someone can help w/this outside of an iPhoto upgrade.
