Upgrading from Tiger to Snow Leopard

Sorry if this has been asked before but I haven't seen this particular question posted on the forum.

I've recently acquired a Mac Mini ((MA608B/A) upgraded to 2GB ram) which has Tiger installed which I wanted to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Can I use the Apple Mac OSX Snow Leopard Retail Pack (Apple product number MC223Z/A) to upgrade it or do I need to purchase the Mac Box Set?

Also if I can upgrade using the Snow Leopard Retail Pack does it have a version of iLife on this disc (as per a Mac Install DVD you get with a new mac) or will I have to buy this separately.

Cheers

Jonty

So am I right in saying if I do an upgrade rather than a clean install with 10.6 I should keep my existing iLife apps and able to upgrade iLife at a later date?

Correct. In fact, if it ever becomes necessary you can reinstall your existing iLife apps from your original gray system discs (assuming that is the version you are using), but only on that Mac. Look for an item on those discs called "Install bundled software" or something similar. The options vary slightly from model to model but generally you can select individually which of the bundled apps you would like to reinstall.
