cString is depreciated

cString is depreciated

Hi Everyone,

I am cleaning up my warnings, and have run into one that is eluding me....

I am creating a sql line to insert into the sqlite database....

and needed to convert from a
NSString *work
to a
static char *

I am currently using

sql = [work cString];

to do the conversion, but the IDE/Compiler is throwing a warning saying that
cString is depreciated.

Is there a new and improved conversion process that will releave me of the warning??

static char *sql;
sql = [work cString];

warning of cString is depreciated....

i've tried various searches and "solutions" but i am failing....

could someone post the code snippet that will do the same thing, but not give the warning??

(Not a big deal, but it is "deprecated", not depreciated. Depreciate is what happens to your new car as soon as you drive it off the lot.) 8^)

Funny story.... i received my smartcar within the first few days of them being allowed in the US.... and a guy offered me $2,500.00 more than I had just paid for it....
