Can't sync iPhone with iTunes 9.1 after update (Windows 7)

Hi,
after the succesfull update to iTunes 9.1 synching contacts, dates (Outlook 2007) and bookmarks (Safari 4.0.5) does not work anymore. I haven't had any sync problems before the update. All other app, music and videos gets synched well.
iTunes gives two error messages (translated from german, maybe it's an localzation problem?):

1) iTunes couldn't sync information with iphone since Synchronisation is not activated. Do you want to activate Synchronisation?
If you don't activate Synchronisation, itunes can't sync contacts, dates, bookmarks and email accounts to your iphone.
When i try to activate the following error message pops up:
iTunes couldn't access the provider data from sync services. Try again.

Comletely deinstalling and reinstalling of iTunes and ipod services didn't solve the problem.
Has anybody a similar problem or a tip for me? Should I go back to iTunes 9.0.3?
Thanks for any help.

PC, Windows 7, 32 bit

It didnt help for me.

I did what you state install mobileme control panel.
Rename the sqllite3.dll file
restart my system.
open iTunes. the error remains however it worse now my iTunes keep hanging when ever I need to access any of the device related feature in preferences.

inadditional, rename sqllite3.dll will not prompt the question if you want to enable sync service. instead it will just direct pop up "iTunes unable to provide data for sync services.."

I copied the files and nothing! I am now stuck with my phone not able to download the stupid music I bought from the iTunes. I am holding off purchasing anything else till this gets fixed, as I can no longer enjoy it on my iPhone 3GS that is not jail broken and support this mammoth monster of iTunes by my countless dollars. I am just so dog-on frustrated, it is all that I can do not swear and get censored!!!

Okay, my phone was detected but I received several errors.

iTunes was uanble to load dataclass information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later.

I then took the Windows error log. Does anyone have any idea what this is all about. I am so frustrated that I bought music and cannot listen to it!!!

I can post the contents of the txt file error if anyone knows how to descript this!

Nope the re-boot didn't work here for iPhone sync .... still hung on backup for an hour so far ...
but Apple TV DID sync this time as it wouln't when updated iTunes 9.1 without a re-boot. Why no mention of re-boot anyhow from Apple?
Why Apple's SILENCE?
Apple we need our iPhones for biz now! Please do fix!
Can I downgrade to previous iTunes version?

I tried everything, I was even willing to kill my install and restore factoring settings on my laptop to see if it was an error on my end. However it is defo an Apple issue. I thought I solved it by copying sqlite and that other file from common files in applications support to the mobile device support, however while it stopped the error my contacts etc were not copied to Outlook!

This needs a patch asap as I have no other way of backing up my contacts due to Apple only allowing me to sync with iTunes.

Okay, here is my peace about this and Apple. I just got off the phone with Apple Support. They said that if you have Brickpack (spelling?), older version of Symantec Antivrus, or an older version of iTunes, this is an issue with this and they could not help me!! I needed to upgrade as completely uninstalling it and reinstalling fixed the error. I had to delete a lot of files, etc. It was discouraging and I am transfering my installation from one computer to another.

Yes, I did so am back in business. Get 9.03 (google itunes 9.03 download), uninstall all itunes and all apple components including bonjour - it's NOT enough just to uninstall itunes. You need to restore your "My Music/iTunes" directory from a backup or at least some files within that directory since when you upgraded it converted it to an incompatible version. It's a royal pain but I suspect that's the only way to get a functional iTunes at this time.

SOLVED! Adding the path resolved my sync problem. When I tried to sync with Outlook I would get a MS Visual C++ Runtime error. Remove and reinstall no help. Copy the Apple application Support directory to the Mobile Device Support directory let me sync everything except Outlook.
In windows 7 go to Properties, then Advanced System Settings, then the Environment Variables on the Advanced Tab, then in system Variables, select Path and Edit, at the beginning of the path statement I added c:\program files\common files\apple\apple application support\; Problem resolved! All syncing now works.

SOLVED.
Now I can sync contacts, dates, bookmarks and email accounts to my iphone.

Here is:
1.Uninstall itunes 9.1.
2.Adding "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support" to the front of my environment path variable.
3.Reboot. Download itunes 9.0.3.15 from http://www.oldapps.com/itunes.php and install it.
4.Don't reboot, don't uninstall 9.0.3.15. Download itunes 9.1 and install it.

And you can sync PC with iphone. No error message anymore.
