Just up-graded to 10.3.9, quicktime 6.5 Bought pro-key on 5/21/03

Just up-graded to 10.3.9, quicktime 6.5 Bought pro-key on 5/21/03

Should this pro-key work w/what I have? I also got a QT pro-key when I bought DVD Studio pro-2, I can't seem to find a way to get the QT pro thing going, any help would be appreciated.

G4, Mac OS X (10.3.9)

QuickTime 7 requires you purchase a new registration. You older key will not work and the "free" upgrade that was included with DVD Studio will only work on version 6.5.
The only way you older registration will work is if you roll back to 6.5.2.
Apple has posted re-installers that take 7.0.3 to 7.0.1 and another that moves 7.0.1 to 6.5.2.

I don't have QT 7 installed - it's 6.5

OK
Enter your registration information again in System Preferences/QuickTime and you'll restore your working version.
If you can't find your info log into the Apple Store and review your "Download History". Your purchase will include the information you originally used and the registration number.
Use copy/paste to enter it the the QuickTime Preference Pane

Still no worky, it doesn't even say it's a pro-registration key like it shows on the web site. Also I copied everything directly from my purchase info, so what's the problem? Anybody else have problems with this, why doesn't it say something about pro-registration key, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong???????

The registration info is 20 characters. 5 groups of 4 letters or numbers.
Did you use copy/paste? Everything must be identical to the email confirmation or the info from your purchase history.

Yes, I should have written cut-n-paste, yes totally the same with all the dashes too, should I not include the dashes??????

Can it be that weird that you can't use the dashes when it's on the customer software purchase history info page?????

Exactly as it is in the email or the software download history at the Apple Store.
They have dashes, you use dashes. They use a capital W, you use a capital W.
Exactly, or your registration will not work.
