Ever sinc updating to iTunes 9.1, using the Column Browser (view-->column browser) causes iTunes to crash. Otherwise, all is fine. Anyone hae any ideas on how to fix this?
I have been searching for the cure for this issue all day!!! I was having an issue with the browser and clicking in the genre with my previous version of itunes but just ignored it. Today when I upgraded it all went down hill! I have disabled right zoom and it has corrected the issue. Thanks to all who figured this out
Still doesn't fix it completely for me. I don't have Cinch but I did have Right Zoom. When I disabled, it restored my ability to scroll the column artist view but when I click on an artist, it jumps back to the beginning of the alphabet of artists before I scrolled and instead displays the artist that was at that same y point in the list.
I had the same problem for a few days. And I checked on here for some solutions. However, I don't have Zooom or Cinch. But, I did disable Flow Dashboard and some other plugins I had running in the background and it seems to be one of them causing the conflict. So, I would turn whatever plugins you have one by one to source out the one making the trouble for you.
And they suggested going to System Preferences/Universal Access and unchecking "Enable access for assisted devices" .
I don't have Zoom or Cinch and I tried a few other suggestions (Uninstalling and reinstalling Flip4Mac). Nothing worked but this disabling of assisted devices did the trick for me. Course, I don't use any of those programs that rely on this feature of the Universal Access system so it was an easy fix for me.
Ever since updating to iTunes 9.1 / Snow Leopard 10.6.03, using the Column Browser (view-->column browser) causes iTunes to crash. I also have an eMac G4 which works fine with itunes.
I had CLINCH installed. I have just un-installed it and BINGO a stable itunes!!
Yet your username is
Addictedtomacs007 and you are using a +5 year old operating system (10.4.6) that is two major version ago? And is not even the latest for 10.4?
You cannot run iTunes 9.1 on 10.4.6.
Perhaps if you would update your system it would work properly.
