Updating 10.6

Hello,

I've just installed 10.6 and tried to update it. These 3 updates showed up:
Mac OS X Update Combined
Xcode 3.2.1
iLife Support

After trying to install them this message appeared:

The digital signature on the update is missing or invalid. The update may have been tampered with since being signed by Apple. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.

I tried downloading and installing the updates myself: 10.6.1, 10.6.2, 10.6.3, and other combos but to no avail.

I also tried this:

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate/cache.db
Drag the "cache.db" file to the Trash. Try Software Updates again

Could anyone please help me!

I've tried permissions and the direct update downloads.
After trying to install the pop up said:

The installation failed.
An unknown installation error occurred.
The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.
Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

And, I've tried to install all upgrades separately.

And, it does not seem to be a problem with the Installer because I've installed other programs and an update for iTunes.

Can you copy & paste the contents of your install.log here. Launch Console in /Applications/Utilities and from the sidebar scroll down to install.log.

The Microsoft registration makes no difference it just puts you in a database. Nothing to do with using the apps.

No, I did not. Maybe this update 10.6.3 contains a Rosetta update as well?
I first installed 10.6 from the CD, then I installed Rosetta also from the CD. I needed Rosetta for some older programs. So far everything works but the Software update. Today, I installed an AirPort update and it worked but not the others.

HERE IS PART OF THE DIAGNOSTIC MESSAGE: one is the "AirPort Update"[success] and the other "Mac OS X Update Combined, 10.6.3" [failure]
