MobileSync has stopped working

When I try and sync, I get 2 error messages in separate windows:

"MobileSync has stopped working" and "Yahoo go sync client has stopped working".

I have reinstalled itunes, but still get the error.

I know my calendar no longer syncs, but have not yet discovered if anything else still syncs.

I am running Vista Pro.

I have followed the instructions on the Apple site to remove ALL apple software from the computer, and to reinstall iTunes.

I still have the same problem. My ipod Touch is now a useless piece of equipment, since I can no longer carry my contacts and diary with me, and have had to go back to my iPaq since I am not prepared to wait a couple of months for Apple to fix this bug (and introduce a few more) with an untested version of iTunes.

This is a last resort at getting the problem solved before I abondon any plans of upgrading to an iPhone.

I've had same problem. Resolved it by uninstalling iTunes and installing previous version 9.0.3.15. (got it from http://www.oldapps.com/itunes.php). All working again. I won't update iTunes till I know the problem has been resolved.
NOTE: You need to remove everthing that relates to iTunes and Quicktime from your computer before installing the older version. (but obviously NOT your iTunes Media folder). Hope this is of help.

Hi

I'm having the very same problem with mobilesync since the update to iTunes 9.1. I thought it was something wrong with my laptop but obviously it isn't.

When I sync my itunes to my iphone 3G S 32GB, everything sync except for my contacts, calander, notes, basically everything under the INFO tab does not sync.

My music and photos sync and I don't have movies so can't confirm if that syncs or not.

Has this issue been reported to Apple and if so, do we know if they are working on a fix update.

I'm not that good with itunes, so how do i uninstall itunes 9.1 without deleting my itunes music folder as I don't want to go through having to re-install/copy or my music again. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

Add another to the list. Everytime the iPhone 3gs 32Gb is plugged into the computer, ITunes seems to get through the backup but then windows throws the MobileSync has stopped working and yahoo go sync client has stopped working.

I'm not going to go all "The thing is useless because of this!" on anyone because I haven't needed to sync anything important yet, but if it's not resolved before my next trip, you may find me less accommodating.

Can someone from Apple advise if it's best to roll back to the previous iTunes or wait for a fix? 3 days later and no news... seems like someone should provide some guidance here.

So it looks like it's best just to wait till Apple resolve the issue and release an iTunes 9.1.1 update or something to correct this issue that obviously everyone is having.

The iTunes update was released for the new iPad, I wonder if the ipad syncs or has the same issue as the iPhone users are having.

Come on Apple, you might release something new but don't mess iPhone users around. Seriously fix this issue asap or I tell u, updating to iPhone 4g won't be option to stay with apple.

Cheers

So I reverted back to 9.0.3.15 and I'm still getting the same two errors.

I uninstalled iTunes 9.1, and also Quicktime. I then removed the entire iTunes directory, and did a search to make sure there was no trace of iTunes or Quicktime. I then installed 9.0.3.15...but the two error still occur when trying to sync with Outlook.

For those who successfully reverted, and got the sync to work again...am I missing any steps? Did you have to wipe your iPhone before the sync? Am I missing any other files that I should be deleting?

Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

Same exact problem "mobilesync has stopped working" and then "yahoo go sync client has stopped working.

My media will sync, but Contacts, calendar, notes from outlook and my favorites are not syncing. I am mostly concerned about my Calendar with contacts coming in at a close second.

I am at the point were I am just going to wait until 9.1.1 to fix this issue.
