MobileSync has stopped working

When I try and sync, I get 2 error messages in separate windows:

"MobileSync has stopped working" and "Yahoo go sync client has stopped working".

I have reinstalled itunes, but still get the error.

I know my calendar no longer syncs, but have not yet discovered if anything else still syncs.

I am running Vista Pro.

I have followed the instructions on the Apple site to remove ALL apple software from the computer, and to reinstall iTunes.

I still have the same problem. My ipod Touch is now a useless piece of equipment, since I can no longer carry my contacts and diary with me, and have had to go back to my iPaq since I am not prepared to wait a couple of months for Apple to fix this bug (and introduce a few more) with an untested version of iTunes.

This is a last resort at getting the problem solved before I abondon any plans of upgrading to an iPhone.

I am suffering the same issue with both messages -
I have just updated iTunes, my phone and loaded the latest version of mobileMe for PC (all today 04.08.2010)
I am running Vista Ultimate Pro and Outlook 2003.
Also I have Trend Internet Security Pro 2010 installed -

Are these errors due to port restrictions somehow ?
If synch is happening over the air can the synch when docked be disabled ?

It seems the openssl dlls included with iTunes 9.1 are cause of the crash when syncing notes and other items with the iPhone. I extracted OpenSSL dlls from the stable build of version 0.9.8.13 and placed them in C:\Windows\System32. After that sync works great.
You can download the dlls here. http://depositfiles.com/files/92eig2pii
Also please be aware these are only for 32-bit.

Well it finally happened, Apple has made enough money that they no longer care. The problem has gotten out of control. If you turn off sync for contacts and calenders its not a problem. Don't they know that many user's don't care for all this posting crap on why it does not work. Come on Apple we are Windows users we don't want to know just make an update fix that we click on without reading. Is it so hard. Having people adjusting environment variables and searching around the root of their drive for the folders to correct broken link from the installer is a joke, something could go wrong. Don't you all go through such leaps and bounds to lock down your devices so we can not pry and peak around. So why not apply this dumb concept to itunes and just come up with a fix already. The messed up thing is that I cycle my battery so it took me a week before I plugged into the already upgrade itunes 9.1 to realize something was a brew. I then went online to discover its not an isolated incident but instead a pandemic. Get off your lazy ***** and fix it or better yet, wait till this summer and then you can watch me purchase a better phone. The Motorola i1.

What I can't understand is ninja_pimp being so "hetro" - if Apple were "gay" there wouldn't be a problem :P

...and this is aside form the fact that there's a major problem with itunes. There's been talk of it being a "holiday weekend" (must be an American thing) and Apple being "busy" with ipad... with this being a GLOBAL concern for Apple which means sqillions of $$$$$$$$$$, it's not good enough.

I also have a problem with 9.1 I can no longer sych with outlook 2007. I got my itouch to use as a PDA. No sych = Paper weight. The apple products like photos and apps still synch and with iTouch I don't pay a monthly fee so I am still better off than most people. When I went to a local store selling iPhones I discovered they were unaware of any problems with Vista or Windows 7. I am concerned that no one from apple monitors the forums to see what was going on. Even IBM, before they got out of the personal computer business, monitored forums and responded directly to posted complaints and concerns. I hope that the last post about iTunes 9.2 means that a solution is on the way. Since my contacts and calander are up to date I don't want to chance any personal fixes and hope apple solves the issue soon.
