AppleSyncNotifier.exe unable to locate CoreFoundation.dll

After rebooting following my iTunes upgrade I got the message that AppleSyncNotifier.exe unable to locate Component and the detailed version said it can't start because CoreFoundation.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Every time I reboot it says this. What program does it want me to reinstall? Has anyone else had this? Can I just get the dll someplace and put it in some folder? Arrrhgggh!

Any help would be appreciate. Thank you.

Thanks Sally...this also helped me. I didn't need MM either so I uninstalled and that annoying error message after start-up went away that said I was missing Core Foundation file. I was at my computer online for 2 hours after upgrading itunes trying to find the solution and then I found this discussion thread. I saw a different discussion thread with an Apple support person and a user with the same problem and the user ended up having more problems after doing what Apple told them to do. I am not upgrading anything from Apple in the future until they can get with the program...seems like the users are finding fixes sooner than Apple themselves. Thanks for posting your fix that worked, for it sure saved me alot of headaches.

I don't have an iPhone and am afraid I don't know how to help you but this thread ( http://discussions.info.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2387547&tstart=0 ) may have your answer. It looks like it worked for some.

It's amazing to me how many people have had problems and that there is no fix yet. It certainly is going to make me wary of installing any "updates" until they've been out for awhile.

I hope the link is helpful.

As I posted there, uninstalling the 'Mobile Me Control Panel' fixed the issue and the iPhone still syncs with iTunes. The user does not have Mobile Me so I can't test whether it works for that... Since they don't need that control panel applet I have instructed them to not let Apple Software Update install it.

Hi Sally,
Just wanted to say thank you for that helpful information on the AppleSyncNotifier.exe. Your suggestion to remove Moble Me worked great! No more error on start up. Hopefully they will resolve this bug in the next version.

Quick question: I have the iPod Touch and I am having difficulty trying to get WiFi established when I am in a WiFi area. Am I not doing something on the iPod that will connect me to the web? Thanks
Diane
