In my case it just brings in more duplicate pictures when I use the Sync option.
this discussion has been active for almost 2 years now.
what a joke!
onya apple!
It's VERY easy! Create a new folder on your desktop by right clicking, choose New, then Folder. You don't even have to rename it.
Go to iTunes, and in the left panel, click on your device - your iPad. A summary page will come up. Click on "Photos" at the end of the list going across the top of the page. Then, where it is designating your "sych" folder, click on Browse, go to your desktop and choose the empty folder you just created. It will say do you want to overwrite the contents? Click YES, and your photos will be removed from your iPad!!
Good luck, and I hope this helps!
No it does not help. He wants to delete just a few photos among many that are in a folder which were loaded by syncing with that bs software called iTunes. And he does not want to have to resync. He wants to delete directly using his iPad.
As many have said previously in this thread, the short answer is it cannot be done.
Apple insists that their portable devices be joined at the hip to iTunes. It is pretty crappy that after spending hundreds of dollars for a device you cannot do anything with it without first syncing it with the crapware iTunes.
Yep, it's past time to stick a fork in it and call it done. The question has been answered numerous times in the thread. It cannot be done.
here we go again...
there's always somebody new who doesn't understand the original posts!
apple knows we are out there but for some reason doesn't feel the desire to help us.

I doubt the original poster (whom you replied to) is still looking for answers two years after his original post.
the whole subject of this post, which seems to have been going forever, is to NOT use iTunes.
Trixie, the entire point of this discussion is that we'd like to delete photos from the iPad without having to be connected to another computer. Our frustration is that a task as simple as deleting a photograph requires the long and annoying process you've described. Why is there not just a 'delete' button, Apple?
That's a great idea, how does one go about not using iTunes with the iPad?
Here is how it is done.
1. Buy an Android device.
2. Drag and drop the pics you want from your computer to the Android.
3. Ditch the iPad.
4. Delete iTunes from your computer.
5. Buy antivirus/anti-malware for the swiss cheese for security mobile OS that is Android.
Hi.
I bought the camera-kit for the iPad and during the vacation I emptied all the photos from all the cameras onto the Pad. More than 3000 photos and almost 200 short videos. I used a synchronization app (photosync) to move them to my server. Great.
Now I want to remove all the pics and videos from the iPad since it is almost full. I do have a Delete button but I have to select the pics/videos one by one and then press delete. This will take forever... There must be another way?
Best regards
Hakan
