Stocks? Weather? Clock? Calculator?

Strange ... Nobody missing these 4 apps that were on any iPhone and iPod touch???

So if I buy an iPad I won't have a timer? A stopwatch? An alarm clock? Check the Apple stock value? Calculate even the most simple calculations? Check the weather?

Is Apple really letting 3rd party developers provide these apps? :-(((

I want those apps from Apple!!!

I am either way on this topic... I can see wanting the clock because it does have the ability to run in the back ground... Stocks(web) Weather(3rd party apps are better) Calculator... (last I checked there are about 5 already for the iPad.) I have to say I was a little shocked they were not on there but I dont really miss any of them.... What you also have to remember is these Apps have to be reworked to look good on the iPad, so I would probably expect to see them hit 4.0.

For travel through several time zones, the Apple clock seemed ideal; same for the weather app as approach and pass through different areas. Stocks app was quicker and fewer adjustments to get the limited info I found necessary for most checks during travel. Really think I'll miss those. They gave just the amount of info necessary with least clicks/touches/adjustments to view. When I want more detail, can go to browser, but nuisance for quick info.

For the number of people that want these apps on the iPad there's probably an equal number of people who would like to delete these off their iPhone/iPod Touch. The official Apple apps weren't very good or robust with much better free 3rd party apps in the store. I'm really glad these weren't included on the iPad and would love to nuke them off my iPhone.

There are already two third-party apps that are superior to the original Apple apps: PCalc-Lite (free calculator), and The Weather Channel Max for iPad (free weather report). In fact both are stunningly beautiful as well as functionally superior to the original iPhone apps.

As for stocks, there are numerous superior Web-based options.

As for the clock/timer, maybe. But from a purely functional use standpoint, it would seem that it is more convenient to use your iPhone for that purpose.
