iPad does not edit functionality with wiki.

I am using the iPad to access the wiki, and it doesn't the iPad browser doesn't appear to give editing capability for wiki entries - - just viewing. This is the same as the iPhone.

What gives? Why limit the functionality? This makes zero sense.

Sadly it does not allow for uploading media such as photos from iPad. A crucial function for my work and no doubt something many others would like to see. Let's hope it's addressed soon. Maybe in Mountain Lion if not before. editable from iphone would be good too, but I don't want to be too greedy, so I'll just settle for full iPad functionality.

Me to. Media upload for me isn't a MUST but it's sure a really nice to have. The lack of OS file system probalby requires someone (hmm, Apple maybe? I'd -suspect- that they've got the cash flow to do it...)

You're so much nicer than me. It's asinine that iphone doesn't have editing. Tweeking the CSS brings some of the tools online for my phone but beyond toying with it, I don't know how much functionality can be made available. Learned many years ago that deploying hacked code in Apple's included web server tools begs for unexpected breaks any random software update - not the kind of problems I need to create for myself.

The poor quality of editing tools in the Apple Wiki of iOS is a problem that needs solved if Apple expects the tools deployed - esp with the push of iPads in educational institutions where the server tools actually get deplyed sometimes.... Even if they deplyed an App vs native web interface it would work but WAY better for working tools in the wiki itself. This inability to edit at all from iPhone ends my ability to use this tool in my workgroup - so keeping my ugly old Wiki server that does allow edits when team are on-the-road. Crocodile tears! Ok, kidding - but it is a bummer since if the tools arn't used, they won't be developed, so they won't be used ... infiniate loop!

It's business as usually in OSX server land. <Shrug>

I can confirm after having a headache with Wiki Server that...

Running Snow Leopard Server 10.8.0, with the iPad wiki JavaScript edited to show the editing buttons I can upload only images at this moment from an iPad 3.

The secret, running iOS 6 allows the iPad to upload, but at moment only images.

Hope this helps anyone, just hold on a little longer for iOS 6 release.
