Bonjour will not start

I have the same issue and error message where the Bonjour service is shown as "stopped" in Task Manager. This is preventing me from syncing with ToDo's task application.

I am using iTunes version 9.1.0.79 running on Windows Vista.

There is an event error code of WSARecvMsg failed (10014) when the service attempts to start.

I have tested for firewall issues and none were found. Anti-Virus has also been reviewed and no issues were identified on first pass.

Please can you advise as to what the issue might be.

Same issue on Windows 7 and iTunes version 9.1.0.79.

Yes I am having the same issue with installing iTunes and the Bonjour service not starting. I get in my eventlog "WSARecvMsg failed (10014)". ont sure what the issue is.

All my other services on my Windows 7 machine 7 start. I even run the exe file for iTunes install as Administratoir and I still get the message: Bonjour Service failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Same issue here - upgraded iTunes, and now nothing works (first spotted as I couldn't sync Documents to Go). Get exactly same error message when starting iTunes and then in event log when I try to start bonjour manually. Is there anyway of getting the old version of iTunes back?

Same problem after upgrade and same error message. I'm not able to get to my apple TV because of this issue. Running Windows XP. I'm wondering if this is a DDL registration problem caused by the itune upgrade?

I have the same problem after upgrading to 9.1.0.79. I cannot start the Bonjour service in the Services control panel. Windows XP Pro v5.1.

I had all sorts of Apple software issues the first time I got bit.

I am 100% sure it happened to me when I just installed Bonjour Print services. I also have ultra edit etc but it was installed with no path. I actually did this to myself the other day and had to reformat. But then I needed Stanza again and that required Bonbjour print services. Now syncing does not work.

I am having the same problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes with no luck.
