eye strain after reading on the iPad

With different apps and/or books, the print gets very fuzzy and I cannot focus after 10 or so minutes.

Does anyone else have this problem? I am not sure what to make of it...

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.6.1), linksys wireless network, various windows pc's

don't think turning the brightness all the way up will do it; but i will try.

you know, i will just have to try flittering w/ the brightness controls, particularly downward.

You have reached the point where reading glasses won't work anymore, get prescription glasses. I can only read for a minute or two without mine.

Thanks for this. I wear prescription glasses and I'm noticing quite bad eyestrain after using my iPad. I'll turn the brightness down as you suggested.

If you are able to find a way to turn the brightnes down enough to read in a dark room without eye strain please post your solution.

I doubt brightness is the problem. It's the fact that the printing on the iPad is far inferior to real print or to other devices like the iPhone or Kindle.

And here come the fanboys.

The glossy/glassy screen could be the problem. An anti-glare screen film should help.
