Bluetooth Headset with iPad

I use a bluetooth headset quite frequently for my skype calls on my iphone and ipod touch. I was planning on doing the same thing with my ipad but for some reason it doesn't even see my headset when I try and pair it.

Ipad 16 GB, iPhone OS 3.1.3

I thought the iPad did not support tethering. Then I found I must be tethered with a wire to my iPad, as ipad Bluetooth is crippled, it won't connect to a headset, or to the handsfree in my car.

Notnhad any problems with my BluAnt stereo headphones ( other than the pause and next/previous track functions don't work) but vie not attempted to use Skype or any other voice calling app.

Ipad working awesomely with my griffin Bluetrip bought on ebay cheap, can walk all over the house with it. Works great it most apps too (stereo output)

Hoping app devs can step up and get fancy with bluetooth audio out-- like support for it being the master out for DJ apps, while using the plug-in headphones for cueing the next song.

Any dev reading this, here's a million dollar idea. A video player app that delays the video playback to match the lag-time of bluetooth audio out (maybe an adjustable slider.)

cause they have to retain the appeal for the iPhone since AT&T and Apple have a contract to honor (with many facets)

I have an even stranger problem. My bluetooth headset pairs and connects with the iPad but then the iPad carries on playing music/videos through its own speaker rather than the headset. Any ideas?

Just read the Technical Specification of your Bluuetooth headset if it is compatible withe Bluetooth profile of your Ipad.
