Internet Speed Widget?

Well that was short lived, it was 50MB! and horribly virus like; taking over my computer interface. Maybe that's okay on Windows but on a Mac there is already an arena for these widgets apps... and I never saw the Internet monitor widget.

No way am I having that on my system. Is there really no small dedicated widget which determines the speed of ones internet connection?!!

Really? I never checked, I thought it was local only... what about just the internet monitor, I'm put off by the amount of indicators there are which requires too much space, is a distraction and the time it takes to load are all concerns for me.

Is it possible to just have the Internet indicator showing?

I went through a fair bit of the Apple Download section, after, I performed a Google search with this search criteria. Then I posted here. So no, there wasn't anything, I checked.

Thanks but I'm UK, this is USA only. I don't believe there is no widget, I wish I knew how to make one.

As stated the widget you offered will not show internet speeds but I emailed them to ask about what I was looking for and if they might create one anyway? I'll post their reply if useful.

Hey fancy looking, I see there is an iPhone app so I wonder if it can be done in HTML5 online? I got good results, which is nice.
