Temperature Warning

I just got the dreaded temperature warning screen while using Safari to browse things on the web that were not at all computationally intensive. I was sitting in my (rather cool) apartment at the time, and the iPad didn't even feel warm to the touch.

I shut down and restarted, and it worked fine after restart. Anyone else having similar issues (i.e., at room temperature without heating of the iPad)?

I was sitting in the sun reading a book when I got the temperature warning yesterday. It was warm in the sun and with the black cover on it the iPad did feel pretty warm. I opened the chest freezer and laid it in there for just a few minutes, figuring that the sooner I got the components cooled down the better. I just got mine on Thursday....

I took mine back once already with no restocking fee due to the over temperature problem. they replaced it, and I have used it in direct sunlight to run iScore for baseball book keeping. I failed again today. It was on for about 1 hour 30 minutes in direct sunlight with outside temperature around 67 degrees. It shut down for overheat again. The first iPad had the same problem with the same program, and I had the apple cover on it. Today I did not have any cover on it hoping that it might dispel heat better without a cover. Did not seem to make a difference. I moved into the shade of a shack, and was able to power it up and finish keeping score after I caught the inning that it was off. Don't think this device is going to work outside in the summer time anywhere in the world, but it works great inside.

im trying to see if there's a connection here between cases and the ipad over heating... who cares this aren't my servers let them over load maybe that way they learn to do things right the first time hahaha!!! has anyone noticed that' apple screws up every few months and people forgive and forget like the 2.0 and 3.0 software releases. That's what i call server issues.
