How can I connect my iPad to a VGA projector to play my presentation?
Thank you

That link is coming up "Page Not Found." (as of 7/19/2011)
I have not found a replacement.
A simple search of the Apple Store turns up this:

Regards.
I connected my ipad to the projector using the VGA adapter but nothing happened. Am I supposed to do any setting?
I bought the cord. Works fine on my wife's iPad2 to connect and display on a projector. Same cord, same projector, same day, NOTHING, no image or picture or image from my "original" iPad. What gives???
Only the iPad2 mirrors what's on it's screen. On the original iPad, it will only output video from an app (and the app needs to explicitly support it)
The projector works fine with a VGA cable 1.8 metres long. If I use a cable 10 metres long, the image flashes on the screen once, then disappears. Using a Windows laptop with the 10 metre cable there is no problem
How to overcome this please? The iPad is charged to 100%
I need to use my iPad 2, my new dataprojector adaptor from Apple, and a data projector for a presentation later this month. I took my iPad 2 and the adaptor to a school yesterday to test this on their data projector but only found an older model to use. When I turned on the projector, I saw my desktop flash onto the screen correctly but then turned into think horizontal lines of color. The Keynote slides would noto appear not would any other information.
Is there a required type of data projector that must be used with the iPad? What else might be going wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help!!
This whole affair buying an iPad with a wishy-washy guarantee is pretty useless. I spent $499 on this device, the wireless connection fails if the iPad is more than 3 metres from the router (my Compaq notebook works 10 metres away). It will not connect to a projector properly
I took it to the local Apple agent in Cape Town. They not interested in fixing this, say there are no solutions.
What a crap product!
Once you buy it you are on your own. No support, no guarantee, no good complaing to the shop, they tell me they did not make it, they only sell it. Why are they Apple agents, does this mean absolutely nothing?
Very disappointed indeed
I have an iPod (latest), iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and new iPad (3). Not trying to boast, but point out some variability in VGA projector performance, as I am a heavy VGA output user.
The VGA adapter works perfectly on the iPod and iPad 2. On the iPod, the home screen (apps) doesn't project but it does on the iPad 2. On the iPhone 4S the homescreen projects. There are many other discrepancies between these Apple products as to what will show-up on the projector screen. However, they all essentially work. At least, Keynote, Pages, Safari and videos all work fine.
Except... the VGA adaptor doesn't work at all on my new iPad. Maybe my adaptor is broken, or, as I believe is the case, that VGA adaptor is an iPad 2-compatible adaptor and I'll have to buy a new iPad-compatible VGA adpator for the new iPad. That's rubbish but gotta live with it.
Personally, I think the iOS updates should common-ize the VGA output-ability of Apple apps. Just doesn't seem to be the case for now.
