Importing a Pages document to Indesign

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how to import a pages file into indesign? The document in question is around 60 pages and is full of graphs and tables. When I select all, copy and then paste into indesign all formatting is lost and only text is put into the indesign doc. I don't think placing a PDF of the document will work because I want to continue to edit the layout in Indesign.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, Indesign ignores the Pages format and given the conlict about Flash, I would be surprised that you will see change on nthis point in a near future.

It has been a while since I composed a file in Pages and then imported it into InDesign. InDesign imports .doc files (which Pages can export) and that's how I did it. Obviously (or maybe not) other than character and paragraph styles, the less formatting you do, the better.
