Hi

sounds to me that you may have security on your website's server, that is blocking your ip address for some reason. That does sometimes produce a 406 error, then a 404 (not found) because there's no specific error page found to display.

Do you have FTP access to your own website? control panel access direct from your host?
are you able to use another computer to access it directly?.

Did you start having problems when you installed that 3G modem? From your system profile, it looks like you have a number of proxies setup. Follow BDAqua's instructions on how to remove them. You will have to select just about every network port you have (Airport, PPP, Telus, etc.) and turn off the proxies in each.

At least I now feel better about my Rogers 3G stick. That Telus software seems to be just as bad as Rogers. I don't know why these big telecom companies produce such junk when it comes to software.

It is possible that if you disable those proxies, you could lose your 3G Internet functionality and maybe all Internet connectivity. You can always turn the proxies back on. It may help to download the latest drivers for the modem, uninstall the old software, and try to reinstall.

Hi jkl --

I've been rereading all these messages, trying to find another clue.
You said this started when your dear hubbie was on there.

We need to find out what he did. . .
For instance, did he try to resync a mobile device, for example?
Tell him he gets no home cooked meals until he 'fesses up.

Just to double check . . . you're trying to get to your site by typing in the URL
or via a bookmark?

By the way, the site is excellent.
VERY well done, and very easy to navigate.
It's not a problem with the site itself.
There's something in your Mac.

And the Geek Squad has no chance in h*ll of diagnosing a Mac.
🙂

theres only 1 report and its for my old internet stick

Your old Internet stick? How many of them do you have? Those things install some very low quality software. If you stop using one brand, you MUST uninstall it using a provided uninstaller program.

At this point, I think you need to uninstall the software from both of them and reinstall only the new one.

It may be time to to a full backup and then reinstall your entire operating system.

hi etresoft
as far as I can remember I did uninstall it that way but.....?

I did a backup last night with TM

will that save ALL my programs, settings, cause some I don't have disks for:(

if I wanted to burn a program to a disk would I just go to Applications, find the program and right-click it and choose burn to disk, is that the right way of doing it?

I don't want to lose anything, but this problem
thanks

No. But without the original disks, you are going to have problems with them later.

Check again with those proxies. If I remember from your system profile log, you do have proxies in use for about 6 out of your 7 network devices. You may also have multiple network locations. You might also consider taking it in to an Apple Store, not Best Buy.
