error 404 406

Hi I could open my photo workshop website 2 days ago and my friends can so its not the site? but now I get a error 404 406 when I go there? please help!!!

24"imac, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

Hi

sounds to me that you may have security on your website's server, that is blocking your ip address for some reason. That does sometimes produce a 406 error, then a 404 (not found) because there's no specific error page found to display.

Do you have FTP access to your own website? control panel access direct from your host?
are you able to use another computer to access it directly?.

Did you start having problems when you installed that 3G modem? From your system profile, it looks like you have a number of proxies setup. Follow BDAqua's instructions on how to remove them. You will have to select just about every network port you have (Airport, PPP, Telus, etc.) and turn off the proxies in each.

At least I now feel better about my Rogers 3G stick. That Telus software seems to be just as bad as Rogers. I don't know why these big telecom companies produce such junk when it comes to software.

It is possible that if you disable those proxies, you could lose your 3G Internet functionality and maybe all Internet connectivity. You can always turn the proxies back on. It may help to download the latest drivers for the modem, uninstall the old software, and try to reinstall.
