Preview shows pictures in PDFs as negative pattern

Hi all,
I got several Fine-PDF-documents for print-usage from our prepress company. Those PDFs are made by Adobe-Distiller. When opening those PDFs in preview I am able to see the text like it should be, but the pictures (included jpeg’s) are shown as negative pattern.
When I use PDF-Reader to take a look on these documents, everything looks right.
Right now I only figured out, that this occurred only under Tiger. Using preview under Panther everything is fine.
Can everybody give me a hint or advice what to do????
Thanks in advance.
Marc

I am having this same issue.

Trying to create a Reduced size PDF using the Quartz filter in Automater. The output PDF views in Acrobat as a negative image. Preview views the file correct.

I emailed the PDF to a client for approval and he opened in acrobat which showed the negative.

It seems to me that Preview is saving the file so it can only be viewed correctly by preview.

Any thoguhts Apple?
