Order iPhone Online & Pick up at AT&T Store?

There's an option online where I can order an iPhone and pick it up at an APPLE store. Can I order and pick at an AT&T store instead? There are no Apple stores close to where I live 😟

Having it picked up at an AT&T store is not an option, but have you stopped by a local AT&T corporate store to see if they have iPhones in stock? I'll bet you dollars to donuts the store does with no need to order online.

If your contacts are stored on your current SIM card, you can transfer them onto your new iPhone by using the SIM import function on the iPhone.

You can also sync contacts from Outlook, Windows Mail, Gmail, Yahoo, and possibly others when you set up your email on the iPhone.

No, you can not reserve or order online and pick up any device at an AT&T store. Just go to the closest one and buy it.

As for OS4, apparently you've made no effort to read anything posted about it. OS4 is the newest version of the Operating System. It is NOT a new iPhone.

Most likely a new version of the iPhone will be released this summer, but nothing has been announced yet.

Will the ATT store transfer old phone #'s & info?

If you are an existing AT&T subscriber, the iPhone will be activated with your AT&T line/number. If you are a subscriber with another carrier, AT&T will handle the porting of your number for the other carrier to AT&T and the iPhone. AT&T is in the cell phone business - they have been activating cell phones much longer than Apple stores.

What other info are you referring to? If contact info stored on the SIM card which is limited to a name and a couple of phone numbers, the iPhone includes an option to import contact info stored on a SIM card. The iPhone does not support storing ANY data on the SIM card. The iPhone is designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer for contact info which can include much more data than a name and a couple of phone numbers.

Contact a local AT&T corporate store to see if they have the iPhone you want in stock - the 3G or 3GS with the storage capacity you want. If so, you can do everything at the AT&T store with both iPhones activated before leaving the store, and the sales price is identical regardless where an iPhone is purchased.

Also Steve announced the new OS4 for iPhone. Will this be an upgrade to the current hardware or a new hardware release?

OS4 is a firmware update for the iPhone, which is free to all iPhone users with an iPhone that is activated.

We are buying 2 iPhone Gs's. Will the ATT store transfer old phone #'s & info? Or can we do this another way. The Apple Store we have near us is booked solid for appts. Should we buy the phone online...then go to ATT or buy them (2) from the ATT store? Also Steve announced the new OS4 for iPhone. Will this be an upgrade to the current hardware or a new hardware release? Thanks
