MAGENTO WEBSITE AND SAFARI (Mac only) BUG.

I seem to be finding that my new website does not work with Safari 4.0.5 on a mac running OSX 10.4.11

Cookies will not enable (checked preferences)
You cannot log in.
You cannot add items to basket or shop.

I don't see who is at fault and why it works fine on Safari and Windows 7.

Can anyone help?

You can create accounts but not log in or buy or add items to your cart.

Also if you try to use Magento admin panel it just resets.

Since this is a Safari and Mac issue not PC and Safari where is the issue coming from??

Can anyone please advise? I would really like to launch my website but since many of my customers use this set up I and force to wait.

Safari is one of the most standards-compliant browsers ever built. Thus, your best bet for ensuring your pages render properly in Safari — today’s version and beyond — is to follow web standards. Seems only in this (Safari and mac) configration and not in Safari and Windows 7.

If "Safari is one of the most standards-compliant browsers ever built." why is there some issue here and only on the platform for which it was original designed for?

I like safari and my customers do too.

Still confused and looking for answers

I created an account then logged into the account and also had no problems with the shopping bag. It's not a Safari 'Mac' problem.

I see you are using 10.6. Is this an issue from a older version of OX since i'm using 10.4.11

Can you please tell me does http://demo-admin.magentocommerce.com/index.php/admin/

can you also log into this panel? It just resets (safari + mac only) for me pointing to other possible issues.

I'm not sure what the diferences would be between 10.4 and 10.6 but I didn't have any problems with that site either.
