How to enter QuickTime Pro registration key in Windows 7?

How to enter QuickTime Pro registration key in Windows 7?

I purchased a registration key for QuickTime Pro, but I'm not sure where to enter it on my Windows 7 machine. I have found these directions:

But that's for another version of Windows (XP? Vista?). Windows 7 Control Panel doesn't look like that, and I'm not sure where I can access the QuickTime 7 Control Panel to enter the registration key. Any advice?

Not sure for windows...but might be similar:
go to top next to file and left of file is quicktime (on mac) click there and beneathe that there should be many options and one is Register Quicktime. Hope that helps

Launch your QuickTime Player, and go "Edit > Preferences > Register ...". That will get you through to the registration tab on Windows 7.

(The instructions on the page are for Windows XP ... folks with Vista get caught out in the same sort of way, I'm afraid.)

It is possible to report issues like that directly to Apple. (The challenge with that, though, is first finding the feedback forms ...)

In this instance, probably the best ones to use might be the Support feedback form:
