Firewall keeps asking permission for iTunes

I have the following happening, everytime I start iTunes: My Firewall, the one in Mac OS 10.6.3 (turned on), keeps asking me if i want to give permission to iTunes to allow for incoming connections. I answer with yes, and iTunes appears in the Firewall preferences screen as being accepted. But every following time i open iTunes, I get the same question.

iTunes works fine, but this is just annoying. I tried restarting the Firewall, adding the programs manually, same result.
As I think the Firewall should be on, this will just keep happening and in time will really start to annoy me.
Does anyone have this same problem, and more importantly,... does anyone have a solution??

Thanks a ton.. deleting itunes and reinstalling resolved the nag.

seems faster also naw 🙂

Found that HomeSharing was the culprit. It hasn't been asking for permission since I turned home sharing off.

Files>Home Sharing> Turn off.

For me there wasn't any need to re-install iTunes.

I'm using Mountain Lion.

it worked for me for one time after I removed it from the list. But everytime I opened iTune, it seems to write itself back into the Allowed List so the annoying ask for permission prompt appears the second time I start iTune! I am on OS10.6.8 and iTunes 11.0.2.

This fix is still working on El Capitan! I recently upgraded iTunes to 12.5 and got hit with this problem. Removing the redundant entry in the firewall prefs fixed it. Thanks!

Oops, not so good. Like Lamstones I found that it only worked once!
