Text to Speech on the Ipad - Ibooks and Kindle apps

I just purchased the Ipad this last week, I downloaded both the Ibook App and the Kindle app. I am able to read both books purchased from both stores .

The question I have is how does the, Text to Speech work on the IPAD.

Can you please give me step by step instructions as I have not been able to finger it out?

I just move over from the Kindle 2 and it has this feature.

For the iBooks application

Under accessibility, I have the option to request what accessibility you want when you press the home button 3 times.

While in the iBooks application I turn on the voice over function. You can have each line read to you by clicking each line. Or you can double click the page and the voice over will read completely from the beginning of the page.

I'm still learning this device.
