Hi aid85;

You stated; "I've udes datarescue3 for a lot a time"

I would suggest that using DataRescue a lot is a sure sign that you need to seriously consider implementing a good backup plan. DataRescue while a good tool is not perfect when it comes to recovery of lost files.

A good backup plan is much better at retrieving any lost data. I would also suggest that it is faster method to use to recover data then DataRescue.

I've solved myself.

I do not know what cause this problem knowing that some weeks ago all was working good.
But I solved putting datarescue3 app on a dmg image... mounting it... and unselect ignore ownership checkbox on image information pannel.
(becouse hdd info pannel is without this checkbox !!)

aid85 you are the man. I had the same issue and it's funny, but I also think it's not a matter of having Apple send us to Data Rescue. It was a simple as you stated to take the .DMG file correct the permissions and then mount the .DMG installer. When I was done with that I simply dragged it into my applications like normal and it worked like a charm.

Has this ever happened before, because this is one of the first times it's happened to me.
