Application deleted, but keeps coming back?

Try using the terminal instead of dropping it in the trash, i.e.,

rm -rf /Applications/NTR Connect.app

but only if you are serious. There is no easy way of going back after the rm -rf command.

I am having the same problem with the same application and I've deleted by moving it to the trash five times, on the fifth, I emptied the trash as well. I'll repost tomorrow, to see if it stays gone, I believe it should though since it is technically gone from the computer.

I guess I'll try that, as after moving the application to the trash and emptying the trash it has come back. I believe that it's a haunted program that is out to drive me mad, let's see if the mac cleaner can help.
Ok, I googled it and came up with a lot of results that didn't appear to be correct. Can you post a link?

Alright, I finally decided to email NTRconnect's customer support about how to uninstall and I got a response in about two minutes. This is the explanation and uninstalling instructions I received:

"When the software installs, it goes a bit further than the standard app
because you'd want to be able to connect to the computer if no one is
logged in locally. Because of this, it has to add some background services
to keep everything running. This is why dragging the app to the trash
won't work. What you have to do is re-run the setup file and it will ask
to remove the software. Alternatively, if you log into your account and
choose Uninstall from the Computer Preferences option next to the listed
computer, the system will send a message to the software to uninstall
itself. Both of these methods will completely remove the software."

I am going to try this, and I believe it should work.

Just out of interest: why don't you like NTRconnect? I'm looking for a remote access solution for Macs that works as well as RDP for PCs. Through this post I have become aware of NTRconnect, and it looks interesting from their home page.

Well, it's not so much that I'm not interested in it. I started out reading this and started trying to find a solution to the problem. After that I just got stuck on trying to remove it. I do still intend on using it though.

try to use AppCleaner app. It's free and should help.

I have used AppZapper effectively. Its free for first 5 uses and then costs about $13

use mac cleaner, never had a problem with it

Nevermind, I used App Cleaner. It worked great and looks nice too.
