iPad turns itself on

Frequently (4 out of the 5 last times) my iPad is powered on when I take it out of my bag. I have the slip case that protects the screen, so I know it's not somehow sliding the unlock slider (somehow every time). I have the iPad set to never power off, because some apps I use are disrupted when this happens. So, it appears that somehow the iPad powers itself on and skips the unlock screen. I have a suspicion this happens only when I have cellular data switched on.

Has this been happening to anyone else?

I also have the same issue. I turn off my iPad normally and I'll come back sometimes to find it on. Or when it's next to me it'll suddenly turn on. Seems to happen about once every hour or two.

I do keep it sitting in the Apple iPad keyboard and the problem doesn't seem to happen when it's not sitting in the keyboard dock.

I found the issue mainly revolved around the cover and the auto switch on/off feature. Try turning the feature off in your settings to see if that helps.

Hi guys I had the same problem with my iPad 3. In my case it doesn't depend on smart cover. By after I DROPPED ALL SETTINGS the problem had gone. Now I'm happy again 🙂
