Image Fill Cropping within Shapes

I am trying to use the image fill option with the star shape. I want to know how to properly crop the photo and move it within the star. I was taught this at my last one to one and of course do not remember. I need to make this document before Tuesday and there are no available one to one sessions near me. Can anyone help??

Welcome to Apple Discussions

Don’t use Image Fill. Rather, drag your image into Pages. In the Format Menu click Mask with Shape. Choose your shape. You can now adjust your shape and your image. Note the differences between a single click and a double click. Read page 138 of the free Pages User Guide, available in the Help Menu. Much more complete info there.

Hi shugirl06

Welcome to the forum. 🙂

You have very limited ability to position the image with image fill they are basically listed in:

+Inspector > Graphic > Fill > Tile… > options+

As Walt says, use a shape and drag or paste the image into the shape then move the image by clicking on it, hitting "Edit Mask" and dragging the area outside the mask with the hand icon.
