Connect to QMS 2060 Printer

I know there have been threads on this topic in the past, but they have not yet helped to use my admittedly elderly (but very good) QMS 2060 printer since I upgraded to Snow Leopard.

Using the Line Printer Daemon I appear to add the printer successfully, but then receive either 'unable to connect to printer' or 'network is busy' messages when I try to print.

If you think you can help, please do so simply and fully explaining every step. I think I have tried just about everything.

Lastly, Konica Minolta promised a 2060 driver for Snow Leopard at least six months ago and have still to deliver.

Thanks in advance.

Greg, you are a genius!

By the time you replied I had managed to change the printer's IP address to 192.168.001.200 and its subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.

When I got your reply I connected the printer to the computer, and configured manually the network pref ethernet.2 with 192.168.1.5. I then opened the Terminal utility, typed in telnet 192.168.001.200, and got the QMS 2060 answer back from the printer. I then tried to print — and Eureka!

I can't thank you enough! Donald
