Keynote for the iPad - video drama!!!

I have followed very carefully the instructions for getting video into Keynote but cannot get video files to show in the media tab in Keynote.

I have converted them to the proper format using iTunes (Create iPad or Apple TV version) but although it shows up in video app - nada in keynote.

has anyone successfully got video into Keynote for the iPad?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

That works great when you have your computer handy. Last week when I had no other choice, so after a while I figured out how to embed a non-iPad video into an iPad Keynote presentation without a computer or iTunes. I recently transferred a keynote via Itunes to latest ipad- added video after converting movies that did not work after transfer via iphoto. Presenataion worked fine

AFter use I moved keynote to desktop via itunes again. A few weeks later I transferred same presenation back to ipad the same way and half the videos do not work?

What is happening?? Some coding change when back on desktop?

Is there a way of putting up to icloud from my macbook pro? SO then I could take down to ipad at my leisure?
