Bluetooth keyboard function keys don't work?

Well, actually they MIGHT work but they don't do what is printed on them. I push the f3 key to get dashboard, but I get nothing, if I push the f12 key, I get dashboard. I have tried with the FN key and without.

If I push the f10 key, I get expose, but pushing the actually EXPOSE key, f3, I get nothing?

Any thoughts? I bought this about three months ago, but am just getting around to using it. I have it updated - I think with the latest software

Hello, I want to report the same problem, just paired a brand new Aluminum Wireless Keyboard with a (1st generation) MacBook Air. The special function keys are not working. The "Use All F1, F2... as standard" is unchecked, which is the default. All the latest updates in Leopard (not Snow Leopard, though I could upgrade if I must) including the one for aluminum keyboards are installed. I'd really like to get these keys working without individually mapping them all, if that is even possible!

Same problem with the 2009 BT keyboard on an early 2007 MacBook. The keyboard special-keys layouts are different and the BT keyboard only works for screen brightness control. Dashboard, volume, etc. don't work.

Trashed the pref file as suggested, restarted. No change. Is there a firmware update for the 2009 BT keyboard? Is this really that difficult a problem to fix?
