Is there a shortcut like 'f2' in Excel to edit a cell in Numbers?

As a long time user of Excel who has switched over to Numbers I am struggling to alter some of my habits. The one that really irks me the most is not being able to hit 'f2' to edit the cell that is currently highlighted.

Is there such a shortcut in Numbers? I checked for it under the shortcuts listed in the Help area of Numbers with no luck.

Your help would be most appreciated.

Check this discussion thread in the Numbers '09 forum.

I wasn't able to find an entry for this keyboard shortcut in Numbers '08's Help file though, so I suspect the feature was one of many added in Numbers '09.

'08's Help does list a mouse/trackpad shortcut:
Edit content in cell Select cell and click once, twice, or three times

After selecting the cell, one click will place the insertion point, two will select the word or number clicked on, three will select the full contents of the cell.

Barry
