Volume on headphone in an Italian iPad compared to an US iPad

I've noticed that my italian iPad has a very low volume output compared to an US one. Listening to my music with my sennheiser eh250 doesn't satisfy my at all, volume too low! Is it because of the european limit in output level? Any chance to get it removal? I would love to have an US one!!! 😟

Archos products suffer from the same problem even here in the US. I'm not sure if the volume limiter can be switched off on the European iPads.

Yes, the volume is lower because of the EU requirements. No, there is no way to remove it.

I am having the same problem. IPAD bought in Italy, it is way too low. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Unfortunately this is not an issue, but.. the volume seems to be lower than my other italian Apple devices (ipod, iphone..). The strange thing is that the volume on my laptop is very very high, why this difference? What does the law say? Does it say that if the device is portable than the volume has to be lower than a certain level? What if I want to use my ipad ad a computer, why my macbook pro has a reasonable volume and my ipad not? well just thought...

Why iPhone 3gs bought in Italy has volume more high than iPad???

Yes, there is a way to solve it, but it's not the right place to talk about it...
But... I was thinking... since it's a software related issue, what if I restore with a US version of .ipsw?
There is a little .plist file that tells the sistem to reduce the volume on a EU ipad/iphone.. Well what tells to this plist that he is handling an EU ipad? The serial number? The language choose? The file used to restore the device? And what if I sell my iPad to a US citizen? mmmhmh, just thinking...

Yes, I understand all....but why there aren't many people that speak about this BIG problem?????
And if I buy an iPad in Usa and sync with an italian account there's always this problem???

Well, I don't know, if it depends on the account or what, would be nice to discover... for sure it not depends from the hardware but from a preference files that tells that if the ipad is italian then set the volume 20 % lower... whel how can understand that it's italian??? By the serial number?

Guys - I raised this officially as a bug in the Apple website. Hopefully they will review and put a fix in the next firmware version.

Hi to everyone, on mine Ipad now the volume is finally loud (like my previous ipod touch) but to "Fix" the problem you ned to modify the "RegionalVolumeLimits.plist" and could be done only if you have access to this system file.
If you search about this file you'll find some indication about the way to adjust cause the EU volume limitation is present also in other Apple devices.
