ford sync and podcasts?

i just downloaded another podcast onto my iphone. i pluged the phone into the ford sync, and it couldnt find the new podcast i just downloaded. so then it started to index and still couldnt find the podcast. am i missing something here? i finally had to delete all of my podcasts on my iphone and just add the one i was trying to play, after deleted all of my prevoius podcasts i left the one i was trying to play. i indexed the iphone and now it plays fine. but in result i had to delete all of my prevoius podcasts in order for my new one to work. also is there a shortcut to automaticaly index new songs?
