Pages 09 - TOC in Travel Journal

How can I make a TOC in a Travel Journal?

If a click on TOC it has now paragraph styles I can select? It is completely empty?
Thanks.

Quad G5, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

You have to apply the styles to the text you want to index eg Heading 1, Heading 2 etc.

Styles are applied from:

+Menu > View > Show Styles Drawer+

I used the styles from the Styles Drawer but they don't show up in the TOC window. As in a regular document?

TOC only indexes Word Processing templates and the text must be in the main text body between the margins not in floating text boxes, headers or footers.

In case I didn't make it clear.

If you used the Travel Journal template that is a *Layout template* and can not have a TOC.
