I have a mini displayport to HDMI adapter for my brand new Macbook Pro and the sound is not working with my television...

My Mac Model is: MacBookPro6,2

My TV model is: Samsung PN42B450B1DXZA

the cable I am using is: Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (female) Cable for Apple Mac

I was told at my local Apple Authorized Re-Seller store that since my LCD TV has HDMI, I'd have to use a mini display port to HDMI adapter; however, the audio won't be carried to the TV.

Told them it's ok, but I want to send the audio to my home theater system, which had analog and RCA jacks as well as the optical input - I prefer to use the latter.

Now, help please, what should I do/get in order to connect my MacBookPro to the home theater system's optical input so that the audio filters through there?

Thanks so much guys.
