Unregister iPhone

Hello,
I just sold my iPhone 3GS. I was wondering how to take it out of my name (unregister it) and change AppleCare. Thanks!

Not sure if there is a way to do so, which isn't required.

The AppleCare extended warranty is registered with and remains with the device.
