So yea, today my brother was changing his iphone password, but my annoying little cousin distracted him and now he forgot the password............. He tried and tried to put in the password, but the time got so long each wait. I help to him restore it back to original factory phone ,but then it said it needs the original
Sim Card.... He had T Mobile because apparently At&T service ***** here in Kentucky. He got it as a gift from a friend that bought it off eBay for cheap. So yea, I need help >.< how the heck do i activate the iphone with an T mobile sim card.
Firstly, I really don't like to help people get past a password lock. You say your brother was distracted when he entered it, but you have to actually enter it twice to set it, so being distracted isn't an excuse. Many people find or steal phones and come here looking to get past the screen lock.
As far as using it on another carrier, the previous poster was correct in telling you that your phone needs to be hacked and unlocked, but definitely incorrect in saying that it is a paperweight if its been upgraded to 3.1.3. The Original iPhone can and will always be unlockable. This however is not the place to give out such information, and I suggest you look elsewhere, as you won't find what you are looking for on Apple's forums.
