iPhone 4 official finally

I'm hoping the Qik application being used on the Android handset is being prepared for iOS as we speak.

That's what i figured! I just dont want to have to be at the AT&T store at 4AM if not earlier to get my hands on one!

It's on the iStore now. But I'm wondering - if I lose my phone and want to buy an iPhone 4 while still in-contract, how much will I pay? I.e. what's the non-discount price?

You'll have to wait and see what, if anything, AT&T offers in this regard.

I agree - so far the only indication is that Facetime works from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4. If it cannot work with iChat then this will be a major limitation. Hopefully an App will come out to solve this.

Anyone know if I can transfer my applecare to the iphone4? I have had the 3gs for 12 months on the 22 of this month and since i will buy the iphone4 on release date that means that I have only just been using my applecare plan for two days. I was thinking that since the iphone4 will come with a one year factory warranty then I could just roll my applecare from my 3gs onto the IP4? I know you can transfer the applecare to another person by following the instructions in the tech page but it doesn't really answer my question. I know I can call apple about this but I thought maybe someone on here might have done this with a past phone? Thanks

If you purchased your 3GS after May 24th you might be able to return it, less a 10% restocking fee, which is what they have done in the past.

The unsubsidized prices are listed at the bottom of Apple's iP4 info page in the fine print. However, I bought my 3Gs in December 2009 and I just dialed "*639#" and got the message "As a valued customer, we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2 yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee."

Ive owned every iphone released to date and have been just as excited now as ever about the new iphone. The anticipation is brutal..

but is it just me or is the iPhone 4 abit shy of expectations?? i mean with the Sprint Evo jus being released and features like speech to text and an 8 MP cam already included, i just see the next installment from apple just... Short. Anyone agree? I mean theres always that one stunt, one feature that blows it out of the water, making it a MUST HAVE and Facetime isnt it

If you don't like it, don't buy it. There are alternatives. I was hoping
for a mac pro announcement - but nothing. I might have to consider straying from the fold. . .

lol, no. this is not the same thing as the original iPhone.
